Introduction to Svaroopa® Yoga Class

Come and experience Svaroopa Yoga. This style of yoga focuses on releasing deep tensions in the spine. There are many benefits to releasing these deep spinal tensions, yet this style of yoga is amazingly easy to do. Using blankets and other props to meet your body where it is at you will leave class feeling rested and refreshed.

Location: Earthsong Yoga Studio

Cost: $88 for all four paid in advance or a $24 drop in.

Description: In person class will focus on the neck and shoulders. Using poses to release deep tensions in the lower spine and carry that up to releasing tensions in the neck and shoulders. Many of us carry so much tension in our neck and shoulders which can leave us with neck pain, poor posture and limited range of motion.

Svaroopa® Zoom Classes

Online classes work with the same basic principles of in person Svaroopa® Yoga class. Students will learn to release the deeply held tensions in their body, beginning at the tailbone and working up the spine to the rib cage. Using poses, especially developed for teaching online by Swami Nirmalanada, the founder of Svaroopa® Yoga, students get the same deep release of spinal tensions as an in person class offers. Each class leads you through a guided awareness, breathing practice and poses from the comfort of your own home.

During online class we use minimal props (blankets, blocks,

pads and straps), substituting our traditional props for things

that can be found in your own home. Classes are 90 minutes in length.

Beginner/Continuing Svaroopa® Class

Group classes whether on line or in person students will learn to release the deeply held tensions in their body. Svaroopa® Yoga teaches us that all the tensions begin at the tailbone. Each class leads you through a guided awareness, breathing practice and poses to begin to release those tensions and decompress your spine. When the spine is compressed we suffer pain and disease. Most students leave class feeling relaxed, refreshed, stronger and more at ease in their own body.

Props (blankets, blocks, pads and straps) help to meet your body where it is at and with precise alignments get the most out of every pose and every class. Classes are 90 minutes in length.

$20 a Class

Corporate and Semi-Private Classes

Based on the same principles as group yoga classes. When bringing yoga to your office space or home we work under the same principle of releasing spinal tension but work with less props and class is typically 60 minutes. This way you can offer your employees a lunchtime yoga break for stress reduction or to add more movement into their day. Semi-private personal or family classes can take place in your home and be tailored more to your individual needs.

Yoga Therapy

This is a personal, private and very powerful one-hour session in which pose, adjustments and alignments are used to create a deep level of change in your body.

A Yoga Therapy session follows the same "support = release" principles that all our classes emphasize, with some very inspiring success stories that you can read by clicking here.

I have worked with clients experiencing all types and many different levels of pain, but the common thread has been the healing power of yoga therapy. It worked for them and with my guidance and direction it can work for you too!

Embodyment® Therapy

People looking to reduce pain, anxiety and stress while quieting their mind from the daily noise of life can find refuge in the amazing power of Embodyment®.

This is a wonderful hands-on, private yoga therapy session based on the principles of Svaroopa® Yoga, with each one hour session being a new, deeply peaceful experience.

Embodyment® softens the deep tensions in the muscles connected to your spine. This is done while you lay in Shavasana, yoga's relaxation pose.

Those who have experienced Embodyment® have reported improvements in digestion, sleep, energy and much more.

Vichara

Vichara is a yoga therapy technique using questions to lead your through a process of self-inquiry. The questions are a way to look at your problems, beliefs, repeated past patterns and reactions to life events and problems. In this practice we access your body and mind through your mind. Creating change in your whole body.

A session can be done in-person or by telephone. Vichara session helps you find your own inner answers to your personal questions. Personally this practice has created tremendous change in my body, my mind and my life.
